Motherly Love

Lovingly a bride kisses a small hand, holds it full of motherly love. Powerful waves bounce ashore, driven by the wind from far out on the ocean. But no matter how roaring the sea or how rugged the cliffs might be she will never allow someone to hurt her daughter.

Find your own way, even if it appears bumpy and rough but staying grounded. Smile at your life and embrace it with both arms. Open your heart and welcome love. These are the values a mother teaches her daughter on her wedding day.

„In today’s world, more often than not, couples getting married might already have a child. In those cases, the role of the child at a wedding is quite often one of ring bearer or flower girl.“ photographer Lilli Kad told us. „In this heartfelt editorial we are exploring the mother daughter relationship differently. It is about a mother spending some time with her daughter before walking down the aisle.“

Along with event stylist and florist Kindred Floral the successful photographer developed a high-contrast concept that inspires with its profound significance.

„Standing on sheer cliffs wearing an amazing gown, mom is teaching her daughter that life is all about adventure and that the only thing that matters is love; to be grounded, but never to lose the inner child.“ Lilli Kad explained the story behind these pictures.

Delicate organza dresses by Vivian Luk, classy stationery by Poesie der Feder and a gorgeous bridal bouquet by Kindred Floral formed extreme contrasts with the harsh sea, waves and cliffs.

Let´s get becharmed by an adorable little girl and her beautiful mother, as we sink into the pictures shot by Lilli Kad.
